I can't say enough good things about Scott's work. We had a fairly new deck that had been stained inappropriately, leaving us with bubbles in some places and discolorations in others. He was the first call we made, and he came by the same day to look at the job. He was very professional in assessing the previous job, never making any disparaging remarks about our previous crew, just made recommendations and discussed the advantages of different products and colors. His quote was extremely reasonable and we hired him for the job. He was fast, clean, and a perfectionist about his work. It has been 5 months now and our deck still looks beautiful! I used another local deck professional a couple of years ago and then the Deck Medic a few months ago. The Deck Medic is Scott Smith and he did a fabulous job.
Scott is very professional and easy to work with. He spent a lot of time recommending and helping me pick the right stain. He did not ask for a dime until I was happy with the job. He offered to come back and touch up at any time. In fact, he just stopped by last weekend to see if everything still looked good.
Scott was very responsible about work hours and keeping me informed on the progress. Above all, his work is that of a craftsman. He stained many areas that the previous company did not, including the outside of vertical rails, vertical walls, planter boxes, etc.
Scott does very high quality work and I recommend him highly.
Scott just finished re-staining our 1300 square foot deck. He did a great job!
I got three quotes from three businesses and Deck Medic was very reasonable. I checked all the references he provided and they were all positive. Scott did everything in the cool of the morning/evening, took his time to do the job right, he walked with me after he finished to make sure he didn't miss any spots, and was very meticulous overall and of course, experienced with doing decks. He also gave frequent updates and always showed up when he said he would. The deck took about a week to finish but we had rain and then super hot weather which delayed it a bit. Overall, very happy customers and would definitely recommend him to friends. (two of my neighbors have already asked Scott to do their decks ;-).
The Deck Medic delivers - he calls back, will show up when he says he will, took the time to make sure that the stain selected met our approval with extra trips to provide a sample section for us to review. He did the work on time and as promised.
He also shared with me maintenance guidelines to get the greatest value out of his work and reduce the number of professional treatments required to maintain our deck for its maximum life and beauty
